Breeder Hen Drinker Available from Roxell U.S.A.

ANDERSON, Missouri, U.S.A. – A drinker specifically designed for breeder hens is available from Roxell U.S.A.  The drinker, Roxell’s Breeder SPARKcup{TM} Drinker, is an easy-access cup designed to supply water for up to 40 birds per cup.  Using a system pressure of 5 to 8 pounds per square inch, the SPARKcup has a flow rate of 500-600 cc/min to provide hens with all the water they need when they need it.  

Each bird triggers its own fresh, cool drink of water.  When the thirsty bird is satisfied, the waterer frequently has only a minimal amount of water left in the cup.  This helps producers keep litter dry and assists with house production quality improvements.  The SPARKcup Drinker’s unique design also allows full freedom of movement for the birds throughout the house.

Producers will find this drinker easy to maintain.  Virtually self-cleaning, the Roxell system makes it easy to do periodic full, straight through flushing.  In addition to providing a more positive seal due to the higher water pressure used, the SPARKcup’s distinctive valve design produces a swirling water action that floats feed particles in the cup, letting birds consume them.  The cup’s valve is located in the top of the supply line rather than on the bottom.  This valve location results in fewer opportunities for leaks caused by debris in water supply lines.
